It’s normal to talk to yourself–a lot. If we said everything that our inner voice is going on about in our heads, we’d be speaking four-thousand words a minute. Although it may seem nice to quiet that voice from time to time, University of Michigan psychologist Ethan Kross says we need that inner voice. It’s just that sometimes we let it ruin our life–but we don’t have to. Kross’ new book is “Chatter: The Voice in Our Head, Why It Matters, and How to Harness It.”
