Bison

The National Bison Range in Montana has one of the most controversial bison herds because the land they roam on was carved out of the middle of the Flathead Reservation. It was also placed under government control a century ago. Now, Congress has transferred management of the range back to the tribes on that reservation. Rich Janssen, Jr. is head of Natural Resources for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes on the Flathead Reservation.
